Universal Orlando Resort: The Epic Future is Here

Universal has transformed into a three-park destination with the opening of Epic Universe. From Emerald Island Resort, you are just a 20-minute drive from the most advanced theme park experiences in the world.

Universal Studios Florida – Movies, Mischief, and Magic

  • Minion Land on Illumination Ave: This brand-new land is a favorite for families. Blast your way to supervillain stardom on Villain-Con Minion Blast, an interactive gaming experience, or grab a bite at the highly-rated Minion Cafe.
  • The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ – Diagon Alley™: Step through the brick wall into London’s hidden magical street. Don’t miss Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts™ or a cold Butterbeer at the Leaky Cauldron.
  • DreamWorks Land: Perfect for younger guests, this area features Shrek’s Swamp, Trolls Trollercoaster, and Kung Fu Panda play zones.

Universal Islands of Adventure – Thrills and Heroes

  • Jurassic World VelociCoaster: Known as the "apex predator of coasters," this is a must-ride for thrill-seekers.
  • Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure™: A fan-favorite story coaster that takes you deep into the Forbidden Forest.
  • Marvel Super Hero Island: Home to The Incredible Hulk Coaster and the 3D-classic The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man.

Universal Epic Universe – Now Open!

Located just a short drive south of the main hub, Universal’s newest park features five incredible worlds:

  • SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™: Step into a Warp Pipe and compete in Mario Kart™: Bowser’s Challenge or jump onto Mine-Cart Madness™ in Donkey Kong Country.
  • Dark Universe: A world for fans of classic monsters like Frankenstein and the Wolf Man.
  • How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk: Soar with dragons on Hiccup’s Wing Gliders.
  • Ministry of Magic™: Explore wizarding Paris from the Fantastic Beasts films before traveling to the British Ministry for an epic battle.

Universal Epic Universe: 2026 Ticketing Guide

Navigating Universal’s newest park requires a different strategy than the other parks. In 2026, Universal has moved away from the restrictive "single-day limit" for most multi-day tickets.

1. Multi-Day Tickets (The Best Value)

If you are visiting for 3 days or more, Epic Universe is now fully integrated into the standard ticket system.

  • 3, 4, or 5-Day Tickets: Unlike the previous year, these tickets now allow you to visit Epic Universe on multiple days. You are no longer limited to just one visit.
  • Park-to-Park Access: If you purchase a 3-day (or longer) "Park-to-Park" ticket, you can hop freely between Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, and Epic Universe on the same day.

2. Single & 2-Day Ticket Restrictions

If you only have a short amount of time, be careful with your selection:

  • 1-Day & 2-Day Base Tickets: These are usually specific to one park. If you want to see Epic Universe, you must buy a ticket specifically for that park.
  • Hogwarts Express: Remember, you still need a Park-to-Park ticket to ride the Hogwarts™ Express between Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade.

3. Express Pass at Epic Universe

  • Not Unlimited (Yet): Currently, "Express Unlimited" (which allows infinite skips) is not yet available at Epic Universe. You can purchase a standard Express Pass, which allows you to skip the regular line one time per participating attraction.
  • Hotel Perk Note: Unlike the "Premier" hotels at the main hub (which offer free Express Unlimited), the hotels near Epic Universe do not currently offer this perk for the new park.

4. No Reservations Required

Good news for planners: As of early 2026, Universal does not require park reservations. You simply need a valid, dated ticket. However, we highly recommend arriving for Early Park Admission if your ticket allows it, as Epic Universe reaches capacity quickly on weekends.

Insider Tip for Emerald Island Guests

Because we are just 20 minutes from Universal, don’t feel pressured to do everything at Epic Universe in one day. With a 4-day Park-to-Park ticket, you can spend your mornings at Epic and your afternoons cooling off in your private villa pool, then head back to any of the three parks for dinner and fireworks.

Strategic Advice for Emerald Island Guests

1. The "3-Park" Ticket: With Epic Universe now open, we highly recommend a 3-Park Explorer ticket. It gives you the flexibility to visit all three parks without feeling rushed.

2. Early Park Admission: Check if your ticket includes Early Park Admission. Even if you aren’t staying at a Universal hotel, being at the gates 45 minutes before opening is the best way to ride the "Big 3" (VelociCoaster, Hagrid's, and Mario Kart) with minimal wait.

3. Parking Hack: Universal’s parking garage is massive. Take a photo of your section (e.g., "King Kong 302")—you'll thank yourself at 10:00 PM!
